Am thinking of doing some counselling training, anyone been there and done that? Any retrospective tips re accredited courses /routes? Ta x

There is a good publication online for BACP counselors  - you can join for free.  It has great columns and advice for trainees, clients and supervisors.  Good luck with your training if you decide to go for it.  You can read all the back issues and it gives a brilliant insight into the life of a therapist



Skim through the list of therapists and you'll get an idea of the different qualifications out there - there are certificates through different levels right up to degree and Masters levels.  There are many modalities as well , so you can have a good old nosey and see what you are attracted to.
