Please can you post below if you've been having trouble accessing ASDF lately. I'm not talking about the bit of slowness we get every morning when the site is backed up, but real problems accessing the site.

Can you please let me know what the problem has been (as specifically as you can, please) plus who your internet provider is (BT, AOL, Virgin etc) and what browser you're using (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox etc).

If you've been having real trouble, we'll PM you for a bit more info - we're getting fed up with this and want the board hosts to sort the problems once and for all - and to do that, we need your experiences, please :)

Do find I get a lot of 'cannot connect to server' far more than for any other site I use. But having said that I use this one most. We're with AOL and it makes no difference whether I am using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. I have tried.

As above. I get that message a lot when trying to get on here and I am on FB probably more than here... marginally... but get it very infrequently there in comparison. Having said that, since Christmas I think it's only happened a couple of times... but I've also been less active!

Ummmm... I'm not helping much... am I?! We have BT here.

Since Christmas I don't think I've had any halt in play here :)

We're with Plusnet, sister company of BT and using the latest IE.

Until the last month or so, I used to get the 'cannot connect to server' errors fairly often but not so much now. On Firefox browser, on a mac with Virgin broadband if that helps?!

If anyone has problems, please run this command from a command prompt if using Windows:

tracert asdfriendly.org

or, if using a Mac:

traceroute asdfriendly.org

Then go to Google and type "My IP" and copy the number it gives you.

and pass the results to me.

Thanks.

hI

was happily chatting away this evening and got thrown out the chatroom (hadn't been naughty - honest!) and then couldn't get back in but forum is OK. Keep getting following message :
