Venue: York
Date: Saturday 6th April 2013

Rustique, York, 5pm to 7pm
We will be occupying more than half of this fabulous restaurant, hence the early booking!

The set menu is three courses for £14.95 or two courses for £12.95, and you must make your booking through me by paying and placing your order in advance (PM me for details.) Sort your own drinks out at the venue.

After dark, we will be joining the world famous award winning York Ghost Walk, www.ghostwalksyork.com with Trevor Rooney and then (if we can give him enough beer to persuade him to stick around) enjoy his magic show at a local pub.
Trevor charges £140 for a group up to 30 people, paid at the start of the walk, so have your readies ready. We will split the cost evenly between us.

Finally, we hope to finish the evening with a live band at a city centre pub - watch this space.

Please, join us as we celebrate ten years of the best autism parents' support group in the world!

OK, chaps - pay attention, because I'm in charge and I have a reputation for being "catastrophically tactless" which I fully intend to live up to.  B)

You book your place at this event by paying me in advance for your meal.

We are having the set menu at Rustique, York, and we must place our food order in advance so please PM me with your pre-order choices and your chosen method of payment (either cheque by post or electronic transfer,) and I will reply the details of how to pay. Once the payment is made, you will be on the list - which will be updated below. If you don't pay & order in advance, you won't get fed.

All the organisation for this will take place here at ASDf, because the software saves my messages and then I can keep on top of things.

My memory doesn't work - so if you try to tell me anything by any other method, you'll only have yourself to blame when I forget all about it.

Don't forget you need to bring your contribution to the cost of the ghost walk (about £3 per person) and your own booze money.

Names and deposits are starting to come in. I'm sure JR will keep an updated list on this thread as he goes.

Would be great to see you all there if you can make it :)

Not really, but...

...we have provisionally booked 25 and this is half of the restaurant's capacity. It is a popular restaurant, so there will quickly come a point when we can no longer increase the size of our booking.

Second, they want food orders to be given to them in advance, which I think is very reasonable. And (there is no diplomatic way to say this) we are not going to order anyone's food until they have paid - because if someone can't make it then someone else will have to pay for their food.

At this stage, there is no pressure. However, by the beginning of March the restaurant is likely to be fully booked. So I'm going to set an arbitrary deadline of the end of February but that's only so that everybody has a good chance to get sorted, and the restaurant has plenty of notice.
