My goodness thought I would never see the day but LE is feeling the emotion of shy!

We got his end of Year 7 report which is excellent but states that he lacks confidence talking in front of the other children and volunteering his ideas.

Of course we want to build his confidence up but part of me wants to celebrate as this is new for us. LE being more reserved and shy fantastic as he has up until the last year or so been completely oblivious to these feelings and that he is more thoughtful in his approaches is a huge milestone for us.

Isn't it strange that something that would be a great worry to some is actually a milestone to us.

I know what you mean :)  I remember very clearly the first time Boo said the words, "I don't remember that", after years of her recalling every little detail about every little thing that has happened.  It was quite a moment!
