I bought it my DH for Xmas as heard a podcast by the author. He read it and found it interesting (he's now considering getting an adult assessment for himself!).

I'm about halfway through - I've found the detail setting the historical context quite deep (tedious??) at times but ploughing on. It's very sad reading about the lives of those on the spectrum and how they were treated. Makes me feel quite proud though of the acceptance we have and the quality of life many now achieve with better support and understanding.

I am in the history bit at the mo and finding it quite intersting - amazing how forward thinking the clinic that Asperger worked in was.... Guess I find that particularly interesting as I trained as a pedagog in Denmark and now work in the Sen field...
