Parents evening.

Apparently my son and daughter are caring, sharing, polite children who always try hard. I must try to remember that when I'm setting the timer for the 'puter.

Coming out of school HT comes over :ninja: and says to Dot "See you on Friday!" :excellent
"What?"
"Presentation at the Lord Mayor's Luncheon. Didn't she tell you?"

So we ask Dot.
"Oh, yes, I won a prize for that picture."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"I forgot."
"But you won first prize!"
"Of course. I always win those things." (well no self-esteem problems there then  )

It turns out that another school dropped out, Dot was asked to do a picture for the competition and she won Best Picture for the school that dropped out   :o
So she's the best artist in a school she doesn't go to?
The winner for her school is a wonderful kid with severe MS.

So the top two artists in the school are special needs kids with coordination problems! :applaud :excellent
Isn't modern art wonderful?

Feel a bit bad that I haven't looked in this thread before tonight, but what the children on here have achieved is great! :exellent

I'm going to share my *proud Mum moment* now LOL...

My eldest (NT) who is 6 does Shotokan Karate, she got her licence through tonight and did her first grading exam....

She passed!! She came home with a cdertificate and a big smile on her face, she then showed us what she had done to get her first grade :)

She will have a badge to sew onto her belt now she's passed the grading :D :D

After this, she'll get another badge before another belt, so she's got some way to go yet, at least she has done this :D She's the youngest there too, they don't normally take them until they kids are 7, but with her birthday being in Jan they let her join early :D

Well done my C :applaud:

Thanks :D

She really enjoys it, I think it's something good for her to concentrate on, plus it's self defence.

She's taken her certificate to school today to show her teacher, she's really pleased with herself hehe :D
