So it's official - we now have thirty people coming because JM has pulled.

The tart.

Meanwhile, we would still LOVE to see more people come.

Yes, the restaurant has limited the official ASDf booking to thirty - but it is a fifty-seat restaurant and even then, we have a ghost walk and an evening enjoying York's nightlife. Not to mention what that debauched mob of reprobates are going to get up to during the day...

If you've never joined us before, ASDf is a friendly bunch and we do have a good night out. Contact me if you're thinking about it and I can put you in contact with someone local to you so you meet up first. Yes, most of us already know each other but we aren't cliquey, we are friendly, and we don't bite. We will look after you.

I've only met 2 others who will be there, and DH has only briefly met one of them.

Also Ido have a nine seated mini bus and could share travelling with anyone near or on way??? I'm in Milton Keynes!!:)

Heads up chaps!

We now have 32 people attending, so this party is now officially out of control.

Please, don't be shy about joining us. Jump aboard and we will squeeze you in.

I've love to come, but I was waiting to see who else has put their name down.  I've just seen that  Lux is coming - that'll help!

Am I too late to get cheap accommodation in a fairly quiet location on the night of the 6th?

Why does it say '0 warning points' under my profile pic?  Nobody else seems to have it?

Everyone has it but you can only see your own (mine too says the same "0 warning points") its just how many "telling off's" you have had but, as far as I am aware it is just part of the forum and not used.

I'm more than happy to give you a few warnings if you feel left out.

As for accommodation: a lot of people are booked into the Micklegate Travelodge which seems to be pretty reasonable. It is very central, so very convenient, and while York is a popular tourist destination it isn't that noisy late at night.

This place is posher than a Travelodge http://www.churchillhotel.com/ - but it is about five minutes walk from the city centre, near our house, and benefits from being in a much quieter location. Even if the neighbours can be a bit funny.

I'm going for definite!  I'm going to book the Micklegate Travelodge as Lux is booked in there.  Is there any room left at Le Rustique for me?

Or will I be sitting in a corner of the restaurant on my own?  :(

Near your house; doesn't that make you one of the neighbours?  :sofa:

Hi there

Just to say this isn't for me at the moment but I hope you all have a great time. Can't wait to hear about it.

My aim this year is a night away with DH even if it is 5 mins from home - DS not able to cope with it but hoping progress will be made as we have seen amazing things happen regarding school.

Tangled xx

You bring the overflow up to three - so far. We can be flexible about who goes on the overflow.

What I'm going to do is ask someone to organise a table booking for the overflow. We have to be well-behaved about the overflow because the restaurant manager was quite serious and grown-up about insisting our party can't be more than thirty.

It's a good restaurant and MM & I want to go again, so I want no repeats of the night in the Assembly Rooms when the hen party put down their clockwork willies and complained about us. Not until we leave the restaurant, anyway...

I don't mind sitting at little table, away from the 'big 'un'.

It sounds like the whole thing'll be fun, so I couldn't miss it.

Can you tell Le Rustique that I'll behave - honest!

(if I'm sober, of course . . .)
