Hi, I haven't been here in so long (sorry). I had to to take a break from here as I was at burnout. Things were very difficult for a long time, my health suffered. But life got better and we had a good first year at secondary school. Sadly it hasn't lasted and I'm now back for some support (hope that is ok). I will spend a little time reading through posts and catching up and may post a couple of questions.

Nice to hear from you Carole, but sad to hear things aren't going so well.

My son managed a good first year at secondary (but in an ASC unit for support) so they must be a similar age. Things are still going ok although he is showing some signs of stress and school are predicting a big meltdown is on the way!

Lets hope some of us on here can help with your questions (it is a lot quieter than it used to be!) xx

Welcome back.  My youngest only managed half a term of secondary, but has gone on to get 8 GCSE passes and a place in college on .the course he wanted.

I think the site is quieter since the facebook page became popular.

Hi there and welcome back.

My son is now out of mainstream and in a specialist independent school.

Sorry to hear it's not going well and hope we can help or at least offer you support :)
