Last year, the Beer Festival night out was brilliant - not least because Mrs Potato Head was wearing a sparkly Little Black Dress and asked, the minute we reached the main tent, where the dance floor was... B) (She's a proper lady from a Spa town, and isn't used to mixing with the cloth cap brigade in York...)

If enough people (20 or more) are up for a trip to York on Saturday 18th September, we can arrange a 10% discount card each at the York Designer Outlet - and so any blokes who come along don't have to fake interest in yet another :censored handbag, we can book you a personal shopper.

(There y'go, lads - that's how you get your wives to give you permission to go to a beer festival. :excellent )

Bump.

I know a few people have said in FB and in chat that they are interested - so I'll keep pushing this.

I'm going regardless. (I mean, beer! Do I need another excuse? All they need is a remote control helicopter display and I'll faint with excitement!)

As I said, if enough people want to come, I'll sort out the Designer Outlet discount cards. If not, no worries. Just post on this thread if you are interested.

I'd love to go, for the beer and the shopping :D but already have away passes for August Bank Holiday weekend (Greenbelt) and the last weekend in September (church girly weekend in the Lakes) so would be pushing my luck to try for another one.

So send your hubby for the beer, BK. I'm sure he can be trusted to represent the Woolbasket in your absence.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm beer, and my birthday weekend.

Unfortunately, also my daughters birthday weekend, and the last child free night we had was in 1998. I shall buy some of the special bottled beers at Asda and join you in spirit :(

Thanks for the bump GOM!

If only there was wine on offer..... don't drink beer or cider (too many memories of teenage drunken afternoons...)
Will keep checking this thread though as its just down the road and we may pop along anyway!

dh is a beer drinker though (currently partaking of a few in Donnie) so you never know...
