Mine are

1) to lose the weight I lost and put back on again

2) to remind myself even on the hardest days that my son is a huge blessing and I would never change him for the world.

3) get Isaacs statement sorted ready for him to start school

4) not get wound up and upset the night before appointments

5) not care what other people think when Isaac kicks off in the middle of town

1. To finish my MA and get a distinction for it (had better do a bit of graft on that today  )
2. To revamp the bathroom into a wet room to help Little Nutter with some independence.
3. Complete my new novel.
4. To spend less time procrastinating and more time doing things!
5. To cut back massively on commitments other than my full-time job. Less exam work and consultancy for a start!

I know it's not 2011 yet, but I never was very patient

1. Is underway. I'm working on a short story portfolio at the moment, which needs to be finished by the end of the month. Loads left to do on it, but it's starting to come together. There's only one double-module left after this is submitted, so the MA is creeping towards its end. Hopefully graduating in November 2011.

2. Nothing happening about the bathroom, but I have ordered a walk-in run for the chickens :yahoo:

3. Will be starting the novel at the beginning of Feb.

4. Not brilliant so far. Still feeling like I've been clobbered with a big stick, so am sitting around not doing much.

5. Starting to plan what can give and what has to stay. Hoping for a much more relaxed lifestyle by the time I reach the end of 2011.

1. New job ( the first application for five years will be done this week)

2. More sleep

3. More bible study

4. By the end of November and along with the friend who has just been given the complete book of patterns make a whole knitted Nativity tableau.

5. Organise some necessary structural work that our house needs (complete overhaul of roof, wall ties etc, etc). The place will look just as scruffy after it's all done but this work is a necessary precursor to some more interesting and cosmetic jobs we want to do)

I've been thinking long and hard about my 5 things I need to succeed in 2011 and have made a few decisions.

1. To successfully give up smoking and to stop forever!
2. To take on our local SS. :starwars: I want to make them more acceptable towards helping families with asperger dx's.
3. To campaign for YoungCarers to stay functioning. They're losing their funding and have already had to lay off half of their staff!!!! They play a huge fundamental role giving support to the NTs siblings and by god do they need all the support they can get, especially teenagers and those approaching their GCSEs.
4. To sort M's future education out.
5. Arrange a family holiday, our first in 6yrs. :sofa:

:praying: any help will be met with full gratitude.

After a very rough ride in 2010 but ending the year with a DX & DLA award my aims for 2011 are

1/ Get DS school sorted out & some real support in place

2/ Educate family & friends on the diffiulties DS & I encounter & enlist their help & support

3/ Sort this house out so it resembles a home not a war zone

4/ Try to regain something of a relationship between myself & hubby

A Double whammy...

5/ Shake off this chest infection & get fit so i can begin to lose some of this excess 10st

HAPPY NEW YEAR :yahoo:

I know I'm a bit late with new year's resolutions. But I had to think it through before making hasty decisions on what my goals should be for this year (in case I haven't done some of them before the stroke of 12 I would be so sad). Anyway here I go:

1. Exercise more like swimming and walking.
2. Stay more regularly in touch with my friends.
3. Give blood.
4. Be more patient towards the boys and make sure I get the help for them they need.
5. Make time to read a good book.

I hope we all look back on this thread at the end of this year and that we have managed to achieve most of our goals :)

1, Make more of an effort to exercise. Dieting is only good for your "diet", you need regular exercise to get fit and healthly, I need to get fit and healthy. Still struggling with this
2, Sort the hall, passage, stairs and landing out. Finish the DIY jobs I start. Halted as our 2011 plans are to do an extension now, which have already started, we're in the planning, drawings and permission stage.

3, Buy a new bed, we sooooo need a new bed, but keep putting other things first. Think that might have to wait until we get extra fund

4, Put more time into the girls, enjoy their childhoods and stop wishing the hours away when we're having a bad time of it. Maybe join some family activity clubs or find something we can all do together and enjoy. Started this with a Friday after school activity for us all. :)

5, Get onto a few more courses, fingers crossed an adult tutors course so I can take over my tutors courses when she moves on, once she's trained me up. Well I'm now a Family Learning Assistant as of yesterday, the first 12 - 18 months will be more training than working as they want to push me into adult education and tutoring, I think I can say this ones going to be ticked off. :D

I'm failing dismally with mine. On the other hand, I have lost quite a bit of weight

1. To finish my MA and get a distinction for it
One module left to go and I've had to postpone it until next academic year because of health issues/issues at home. I think this one has to carry forward to next year.

2. To revamp the bathroom into a wet room to help Little Nutter with some independence.
Some progress made with this. Had quotes. Pondering how best to do it.

3. Complete my new novel.
It's all planned out. Going to make a start on it after the exam marking this summer.

4. To spend less time procrastinating and more time doing things!
This is going fairly well. I've had quite a productive year so far. I think it's helping in that physio has taken me properly in hand and enforced periods of actual rest, rather than pretend rest where my brain is still active. It's left me being able to do a bit more without loads of crashes. The exercise part starts in the summer and I'm hopeful it'll help me be able to do even more :D

5. To cut back massively on commitments other than my full-time job. Less exam work and consultancy for a start!
Um - bit of a fail on that one. I'm actually doing more exam work this year and with the impending loss of £2500 in child benefit, I'm going to have to do more than ever in the future. Not good.
